Answer:

The frequency of counselling sessions can vary significantly, it's never a one-size fits all. It depends on the individual needs, the severity of issues being addressed, and the therapeutic approach.

Initial Sessions Therapy : The initial phase is often the most intense,  we recommend starting with weekly sessions. You and your therapist work closely to manage symptoms and build a therapeutic relationship and provide consistent support as you begin to address your concerns.

Biweekly or Monthly Session: As you start to feel  better and develop coping strategies , the frequency may be adjusted to bi-weekly or monthly sessions with ongoing support. This allows time to apply insights and skills learned in therapy to real life situations.

Increased Frequency During Crises: If you are experiencing acute stress or a crisis, more frequent sessions (such as twice a week) may be beneficial to provide immediate support and intervention.

Answer: The cost of counseling varies depending on the type of service.

Answer:

CBT is a highly effective treatment for a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, phobias, and PTSD, among others. By working closely with a therapist, individuals can learn to identify and challenge their distorted or unhelpful thoughts, leading to changes in their emotional responses and behaviors.
Your Readiness and Commitments:
Consider the following:

Are you willing to examine your thoughts and feelings? CBT involves becoming aware of your anxieties and emotions, which can initially be uncomfortable.
Can you commit time to practice? CBT often requires "homework" between sessions to apply what you've learned
Do you have a specific problem to address? CBT is goal-oriented and works best when targeting clear issues.

Are you open to short-term therapy? CBT typically lasts between 6 to 20 sessions.
Your Learning Style
CBT employs various techniques, including:
Discussing your thoughts and behaviors
Keeping thought records
Practicing new skills in real-life situations
If you're comfortable with these approaches and learn through different methods (e.g., books, videos, worksheets), CBT might suit you well.
